Fingal Adult Education Service provides a variety of childcare training opportunities on a part-time basis. Participants can avail of modules at FETAC Levels 3, 4, 5 & 6. There are two modules at FETAC Level 3 and Level 4, Caring for Children and Child Development and Play. A full accredited programme over two years on a part-time basis is available at FETAC Level 5. A full accredited programme over one years on a part-time basis is available at FETAC Level 6.
Classes are scheduled for day and evening in Swords/Balbriggan. Courses are funded under the Back To Education Initiative and / or fee paying.
NEW!! Special Needs Assitant Course beginning January 2012 - application process open on Nov. 14th 2011
Fingal Adult Education Service is now offering as
stand alone module Special needs assistant at level 6. This course will begin in January 14th 2012. The application process for this course will open on November 14th 2011. Please do not apply for this course until this time.
Duration - This course will be run on 6 Saturday’s over a 12 week
period each term from 9.30 – 4.00pm.
Venue - The venue will be decided based on the location of the
majority of applicants.
Certification - This module can be used as a part qualification towards the Supervision in childcare certificate at Level 6 or as a single qualification in its own right.
